The Auto Road Vertical Temperature Profile (ARVTP) is one of the projects we've been working on that the public can see (more to come).
I have been struck these last few days by the inversions. The attached image shows that at 10 am est, the temps were all within 4.0 degrees F. Oddly enough, the highest temp was at 4000 feet.
Yesterday, we went up to the summit of Wildcat to do some work on the webcam equipment. At the bottom I wondered if I was dressed warmly enough. When we got to the top of the lift it was so warm I took off my hat and outer layer.
