    I've always wanted to and never did find a moose antler. Guess I didn't spend enough time off trail!

    As being a newcomer to New england, anyone have any good trails for seeing moose. I would prefer easier trails as my wife really wants to see a moose up close as best she can, and she isnt an avid hiker.

    My favorite 'trail' to see mooses was Rt 3 North of Whitefield!

    There must be a thousand moose here. Well, at least three. I used to see them here every Wednesday morning during shift change.



    PS: More than one moose is still moose, not mooses or moosen

    Bill O,

    Interesting that you used to see moose there. NHF&G did a wintertime study during the last few years on animals crossing roadways, and focused on that area. I don't have the archived email, but the study got alot of press because a lynx crossed the road near there...

    Pays to remain on their email list serve even out of NH...

    Thank you to everyone for their sightings. I just need to get the wife up there so she can see one. They are a pretty neat animal for sure.

    Think about heading to the Rangley Lakes area of Maine or around Moosehead Lake. There lots of them up there.
