Mtruman... The weird thing about the coordinates for that special prize is no matter where we hiked it said they were about ten inches behind me. I searched and searched and never found them till I took off my pack and inside a spair pair of (clean) socks what did appear was a beautiful bottle of beer.

Guess that means that my GPS is going to need to keep a moving fix on your pack during STP...

Perhaps you can arrange to carry a BLB (beer locator beacon) as well

Now that is something that I would def buy if they sold one. I certainly could have used one.. Now that I think about it every time I slowed downed and waited for GGG he seemed to get this little grin and sped up quickly. I think is internal beer beacon was working very well.

Ok...stupid question, where can you take showers? That would be swell before relaxing in N. Conway on the way home.

Looks like a great hike, from beginning to tasty end. I also like to have a few cold ones waiting a stream.

Pinkham Notch has coin operated showers.

Yes just like stated before at Pinkam Notch. The showers cost about $1.25-$2 depending on the time you want to spend in the shower. Trust it me it was well worth the few quarters to take a nice hot shower once you hit the bottom.

Oh my. I am so there next time. Heading up the ammo trail from the cog on tuesday. I finally have a nice brand new set of hiking poles to use (fathers day) Can't wait!
