Glad it got them excited. Not really too scary once you're there - especially when other kids are doing it.
There's another really good spot for a "natural water park" at Lower Falls on the Swift River. It is a few miles west of Conway on the Kancagagus. There is a parking area right next to the road so it is really easy access on a hot day - no long hike required. The down side is that it tends to be really crowded but it's worth it when the kids are hot. The river is usually running pretty good here even in the middle of summer. There are several long "rock water slides" and a good swimming hole at the bottom with rocks to jump off of. A bit less tame than Cascade Brook and even the adults get in on this one. Here's my thrill seeking daughter again (this was when she was 9). Thankfully she and my wife don't aver use the camera so there are no pictures of me doing this...
