I got up here this morning asking the same questions. The pile is actually all of the old railroad ties that for decades lined the cog tracks. It looks fantastic!!!!

We need a trip report from Steve. Has he left Florida to head north yet? How will he get from the airport to Mt Washington Auto Road on Wednesday morning? Will he be there on time? Oh the suspense.

Ok. Since you asked the question...I will be flying north on Tuesday morning arriving in Boston at 12.30PM. KD will be taking me to Pinkham Notch Visitor center and I will spend the night at Joe Dodge Lodge. I will get up around 4:00AM and start hiking about 5:00AM and hopefully reach the summit at 10:00AM. That's if I don't make too many stops to take pictures. Which I plan to take loads and post them for all to see.

My better .5 won't be able to make it this year because there is no one to watch the kids for 2 weeks.
