So, I can't seem to get enough of the mountain.
I've just signed up for one of the Summer EduTrips.
It sounds really neat.

Has anyone done the overnighter?
Are any forum members cooking on the summit Aug. 14/15?

you will love your trip over night

i think i got about 3hr sleep because i was out on the deck and talking to the observer on that night .

you will love it and i would love to do it again some time

Ah, you are in love - with the mountain. It has grabbed you with both hands and said - "you are mine". Let it happen and enjoy it for years!

I have not been on an overnight but the pictures I have seen are fantastic. I am not sure i would need to bring anything for sleeping as i would be up all night taking pictures.

Remember the Perseid meteor showers are at their peak on August 12 - 13. You may have a chance to see them when you are there.

I've slept on the summit a few nights.

I'm not sure what the gear list says, but you are sleeping in a bed so sheets and a blanket might be more comfortable than a 20 degree mummy bag.

I would make up my bed with regular sheets than use a Wal-mart sleeping bag as my blanket. Ear plugs will also help, you never know who is going to be in the room snoring.

Other than that have fun.

Hey storygirll I'm signed up for the same trip. My first and I'm really looking forward to it.

I've climbed Mt. Washington many times but this will be my first overnight on top.

I climbed MW for the first time this year (at age 50)!
Actually, twice in 10 days.
It was incredible - I'm addicted.

Yay!!! This is going to be great!
I'm looking forward to meeting you.
We're going to have such a neat experience.
