We Did It!!

During the Seek the Peak Awards Party, I announced that we raised a total of $97,000. After the event, pledges continued to trickle in and we started today just a few hundred dollars away from reaching our very ambitious $100,000 goal for Seek the Peak.

At 4:50 PM today, a passionate MWO volunteer and donor heard that we were just a couple hundred dollars away and couldn't let us come so close only to fall short. So he made a gift to push us over the brink. Our total now sits at $100,043!

That's a 59% increase over last year. We've doubled the event in two years. Unbelievable.

That's fantastic news Scot! You and all the STP staff and volunteers did just an amazing job this year. It was an real pleasure to participate in our first STP and can't wait to do it again next year. If we all go out there and promote it with our hiking friends and get them out there next year we can hopefully double our fundraising again!

Scot, this is fantastic news! The $97,000 was a great accomplishment for all involved but reaching the goal of $100,000 is just amazing. Congratulations to everyone.

If we all double what we raise and we get more hikers, we can double the total raised again. We should believe that $200,000 is achievable for 2009.

Awesome News!!!!!!!! As for me, this year was better than last because of all the wonderful people I got to meet; on the summit, in the valley, and from the forums. Here's to hoping next year is even better!
