Folks have asked what LinkedIn is. It is a social networking web site - mainly for keeping business contacts. Yes, you can stay in touch with friends at LinkedIn. But, most people use Facebook for that.
Through LinkedIn you can establish connections with folks you have worked with before or used as suppliers or business partners. One feature is the ability to join a group. Examples of groups are the college you went to, past employers, societies you are a member of - and non-profit organizations you are associated with - like MW Observatory.
If you have a profile on LinkedIn, please add the MWO group. Then every time someone looks at your profile they will see the MWO logo. It is free advertising for the organization.
