you are such a good friend.

Sure can... actually it was taken against a only fairly sturdy horse fence... I dont have a tripod I would trust with my 500L to keep it sturdy so I usually use a monopod...

ISO50, 1/125", f/9 for the exif...

I use ISO50 on my 1D because once you stack the two TCs it gets a bit grainy... so any little bit helps... I also had to use USM MUCH more than I normally would like to...

I almost tried the 1.4x and 2.0x units with a 300mm zoom with IS. I was busy trying other things

re: the phosphorescence, I just put a call in to a friend who has been a professional photographer for 40+ years - he will probably have some ideas, may even be doable w/ my D-80. We'll see...

The tips that I got were highest iso that you've got, relatively wide open aperture, and a 1/60 or so for shutter, then brighten the image in software to get it right...

(of course last night there was no bioluminescence)
