Two cow moose at sunrise in a meadow are about to spar over a bull who is nearby. The rutting season is here...
The sparring was more like a dance. It was a beautiful thing in the soft morning light...
The bull trotted off toward another meadow and the larger cow followed and I follwed the cow toward the Swift River. I slowly circled around a big stand of thick spruce as the cow browsed along. I accidentally got into her path and I had to say hello just before she bumped into me.
She crossed the river and headed toward the other meadow...
Sure enough, the bull was in the meadow but he didn't look very interested in her...
