I take my mom on the Mount Washington ship to tour the lake from there. Our standing joke is "How long does it take to get to the summit?"

You should go down to Autozone and pick up a pair of "Mechanix"
gloves and keep them in your bag... I find them to be a nice compromise on a little bit of protection vs. dexterity...
