Thanks to everyone for the help. Looks like I can't catch a JetBlue flight anywhere close to me, but after looking at some of the air fares, I pretty encouraged that I might be able to find something fairly cheap.

I am aware of the STP hike every year, but are there any other group hikes? Since I will be alone, I'd like to find some folks to hike with. Any ideas?

Don't forget JFK, LGA, EWR or Hartford. You might even be able to find a really cheap flight to Chicago and drive from there.

This is really turning into an epic trip. When you add up all the driving, flying and layovers you might be able to fly across the ocean in less time than this trip is going to take.

Kayak.com is a great resource. I recommend figuring out where you want to leave from, how far you want to drive when you land and go from there.

And use some common sense too. A four hour roundtrip drive from BTV or BOS might cost more in gas than you save from flying to Manchester or Portland.
