hahah you should have DEFINITELY come up with me. Oh, and I work FOR the university We were the first to ascend up the Lions Head trail right before the cone and found ourselves in unbroken knee deep snow for at least 200-300 feet. Only saw another group of four up there who summited maybe 20 minutes after us (I think they took Tucks all the way up). There was practically no wind and only had to change out the crampons a couple times. SO BEAUTIFUL.

This is what it looked like most of the way up Tucks

Almost to junction with Lions Head

Heading towards junction with Tucks again

    There you go!

    Default Nice pics

Can't count it as a winter hike, though. If I didn't know the wind will take care of it I'd be scoldin' ya for post holing your way up.

Glad you had a good hike.
