Homage to the White Mountains
I have been a member of the obs for some time now, and I currently live in Los Angeles. For 18 years, I hiked and explored the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I've written a short piece about those years, my personal homage to the mountains and what that period of my life meant to me. Some of you might enjoy it.

I was rediscovering myself after serving three years in the Army and a year in Vietnam. With the clarity of hindsight, I can only say that I am grateful for the memories and experiences gathered over those eighteen years, and I cannot imagine what my life would have been without them.
and every soul sings to a different song of light....of plight....of things that were and of things that are yet to be....in the quiet of this mountainous area....when solitude becomes one within and unspoken grace fills your soul....that is when we most often walk away with the best lessons learned....and the memories that sustain us....
thank you for sharing this laudizen....i enjoyed the read....
