Default The famous 26-hour winter hike

I recently put a description of a famous winter hike of the Bonds on my blog. It started out as a day hike and ended up taking 26 hours for some of the participants (I bailed out before the end). I thought maybe people here might be interested, though I have to warn you that it's so long that I had to divide it into 3 parts! But anyway, if you're up for taking a look, here is the link. Once you're there, start at the bottom:

What a story! I can only imagine what that 2 1/2 hour climb back to the summit of West Bond must have been like for that exhausted group. I'm wiped out just reading it.
