I'm new here, but I'd like to wish you all a happy and safe New Year. Who knows we may have already, brushed by , or smiled at each other, at the peak.

Welcome to the forum and you and everybody and thier families here have a happy and safe New Year.
Ditto on the welcome Russ. And a Happy (and safe) New Year to all our forum friends. Perhaps I'll brush by some of you this weekend as well (if you're in the Cardigan neighborhood anyway)...

Is there really any BAD weather???
We drove yesterday from Maine across NH almost to VT - then back in the evening. The roads were snowy and slick on the way over. But, on the way back the wind had picked up - snow was blowing - and the driving was tougher. There was no one on the road and everything (except nice places to eat) were closed. If you needed anything, it was closed. Interesting drive.

We drove in yesterday from Mansfield, OH, where we had stopped for the night on our way back from CT. We just caught the edge of a snow storm, but only got a couple of inches. As we drove south, we were out of the snow in 30 minutes. Just to our north it had snowed considerably more and was still snowing at the time we hit the road. Sometimes you just luck out. Sunny, dry, but cold here today. Hope we don't see any more snow for awhile.
