Contest: January Low Temperature

Dont worry Brad,
If things go well, it will be us in the running by the time Jan 31 rolls around. There is going to be some very cold air breaking away from Canada and the Arctic area and that cold air will be sliding our way by the time I would say around Jan 15-19 area and it will be cold here, cold enough to make us in the contest, maybe, but you never know. All I know that it is going to get alot colder, probably more like normal temps for this time of year. We shall see. Should be a fun month

We are in Jan. correct?? Might have to climb the rock pile again soon to remember it is winter. I guessed -30 as low for the month and here in Jersey it is going to be around 60 at the end of the week. It better get cold real quick. Can we make the low temp include wind chill

That is pretty wacky isnt it. 60 degrees in Jan. Even here in southern NH it is above normal we had about 2 1/2 inches of snow last week and then some ice last night but it is all gone now. This week we may hit 50 degrees or a tad higher in Manchester.
I am all for including the wind chill in the temp, ha ha.

Well seeing how my temp of -35 was the coldest temp, I would say go for the wind chill factor , unless we have a major change in the weather pattern we will be looking at a low of about 0, which will be at night due to radiational cooling!!!

I think somewhere from Hawk's guess and above may be eliminated by late next week. With this weather pattern , and yes it is a pattern change, there will be some going off the list. so maybe it is going to pay off for us now Brad, LOL

The daily morning report says -18F was the coldest in the past 24 hours. That's a big surprise.
