Big kudos for the images of loons from Mark, Brad, Kevin and Tim&Val, as well as others that may be more distant but convey a feeling of sweet, warm summer!!!
Mark's image of the two babies shows well how they look in late summer/early autumn, close to the time for their first migration.
Brad's image from sunset is beautiful! Nice silouette image of a warm lake at sunset. The image with chicks shows how they look in mid-summer. Very nice.
Kevin's image is hard to get. Nice work! That takes patience and persistance to catch that moment.
Tim&Val's shot is also awesome! Prescious! Nice look at a newborn chick in spring and the relationship with mama. Look at that little cherib! What a heart melter!
Keep 'em coming!

They have such beautiful red eyes...
Tim & Val, I love the one with the baby on the mama's back, so precious.
It took four tries, but this baby actually ate the crayfish! Mama fed it to the baby but it wouldn't go down the hatch, so mama had to repeatedly dive and recapture it and feed it again.

Look at all the Loons in this thread. And I'm NOT mentioning any names!![]()
