Last Saturday Charlie, my son and I were out in the boat about to start early morning waterskiing when we saw something floating in the middle of the lake. We found out it was a complete dock section loose and just floating out there. It was clear it came from a local campground. So, we "towed" back and got it up on the beach.

Our towing approach was my son stood on the section with ski tow rope in hand and he skied it behind the boat.

Here is a picture Charlie took of it.



The newspaper article on it which came out today in our local paper. They must have been rushed with the short week as their editing is lacking this week.

That is a nice range on the lens. You will like it. Is it the IS version and f/2.8 or the 4 - 5.6 model?

It is the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR - VR is Nikon's equivalent to Canon
's IS. Even though I only got it yesterday, I'm already liking it. :-)
