I agree. The salmon thing looks a little weird, but pretty cool at the same time.

On Wednesday afternoon I stopped in S. Freeport harbor on my way to Augusta and snapped this as the storms were going by.

And stopped in Portland, Maine after class to get this at night.

Great shots Brad!!I especially like the crosslighting in the pic of the boats with the stormclouds overhead.

    Default Sailing at Marblehead, Mass

Yesterday afternoon we went sailing with friends at Marblehead, Mass. The Eastern Yacht Club is a grand old building with a lot of traditions. This is the view from the front porch.

A nice day to sail - under just the jib.

Some boats were racing and passed by us as they were coming back in.

And the storm started to get closer so we headed back in - took sails off so they would not rip in the storm - and had a wonderful dinner at the Club.

Nice photos Brad! It looks like you had a really nice day out there. Particularly like the shots of the sailboats racing. Thanks for sharing them.

Mark, the dinner menu had a lot of great salads and a small selection of dinners. Mine was excellent, well prepared, and very good. I ate every speck of it I was so hungry. It was a lot better than most "nice" places to eat I have been to.

The sailboat picture was taken while sitting on a violently moving sailboat - using a 500mm lens trying to keep it level and aimed in the right direction - continuous shooting at 1/1,000's of a second - then cropped it in later. Ah, the wonders of digital.

Nice shots Brad and Chris. Glad the mid-week storm over Portland didn't go further North.

The salmon, ladders, etc in Dartmouth are quite the sight. Almost tempted to take a little drive and check them out...

Here is a Doe and her 3 babies I captured this weekend while trying to shoot some birds. One of the babies is kinda hidden behind a bush just left of the center baby. It was so cool seeing these.
