Great photos, Mark. We have plans in the works to go to Acadia first part of June; the quieter time of year on the island.

Should be beautiful then. We've gone for a week at the end of August the last 2 years are have our reservations for the same week this year. A bit crazy then but we still love it. Have been a couple of times in the past in Sept and Oct and it is wonderful then. I'm sure June will be awesome too.

June is lovely there!
Love the lighthouse photos, especially Mark's favorite. I used a photo of Bass Harbor Light in my grandmother's book:

Stopped at Meredith, NH town dock yesterday morning on my way from Maine to NC. I wanted to get pictures of sunrise, but it was warm and therefore foggy. The lights at the parking area cast an interesting tone on the fog and the little I could see.
A 7 minute exposure.
And after the "sun" was up.
Chris, most of these pictures were taken with the wide angle lens. The full set of pictures are at http://public.fotki.com/bradbradstre...3-28-meredith/

Wonderful pictures Brad. I really like the first and third one.The third one is amazing I feel as I look it just draws your eyes right in. But It could be just me. Thanks for taking the time to post them. The ones on your site are really cool. With the fog and an orange glow to me gives it a kinda creepy or spooky feel. Great shots.
I was hoping for a frosty morning. Then I was going to walk out on the dock leaving footprints to draw your eye out even more. But, no frost.
When I shifted to f22 I did a shot at 1 minute, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 minutes watching the shift in image tone as the times got longer. I like the 6 and 7 minute versions. Once I would start the shoot I went in the car to stay comfortable which is why the Town Dock area is nice.

I love these dock shots. Particularly the first one (wonderful light and contrast) and the third one - "the dock to nowhere" which has quite a mystical quality. Are we going to be seeing some NC spring shots soon?

I might see about snagging some NC shots over the next few days. I am in paperwork catch-up mode right now. On Friday I head to St Louis for the NCAA Womens Basketball Semis and Finals. I am hoping for a nice evening to get Arch and Courthouse pictures.
