An interesting view of Annapolis, MD harbor before sunrise the other morning.

Great photo Brad. So you were in our neck of the woods recently?

Yes, I was driving from NC to Maine last Wednesday and decided to hit Annapolis for sunrise. Well, I was there but the sunrise was not much to speak of. I did get a few pictures I like.

From there I was planning on getting to Pt Judith Light in RI then Beavertail Light at the southern end of Jamestown Island off Newport. Then on almost to Cape Cod - an open house in Canton - a quick computer repair job in Acton - and on to Maine. A long lunch in Westport, CT messed up the schedule - dropped the Pt Judith stop - and the quick computer task turned into a 2 day effort. Got to Maine at midnight Friday night.

I do like Annapolis. There are plenty of nice sights and it is a great walking town.

Brad,
That was some schedule you had. Annapolis is a nice town. We almost went there last weekend for the grand opening of a new EMS, but were sidetracked. By the way, we haven't had a sunrise in Baltimore since last week. It's been rain, rain, and more rain - forecast until this coming Sunday; according to our "expert" weathermen.

Went for a walk tonight and came across a field with some really eerie ground fog rising. The full yellow moon was huge and rising just above the treeline. I was ready to cry because I had no camera or tripod.

We have lights along the pathways on our property and lights in the woods shining up into the trees. It makes for a nice shot at night.



And the full moon rising last night over the lake was nice.

I know the feeling. I watched 2 deer cross the road ahead of me in the car yesterday - I snagged my hiking camera from the front seat to find the battery dead. So, I started to drive away and 2 more deer started to cross the road. Soooooo, I whipped out my cell phone and putting the camera out the car window got this picture.

Today was a day of rainbows as thunderstorms rolled through in the afternoon.

I was outside Boston yesterday - so, stopped to take pictures at Portland head Light on the way down at sunrise.



Then after I was done I headed to Boston to try to get pictures of the Volvo Ocean racing sailboats. Did not see a single one, but saw several kite boarders out having fun in South Boston.



The sun going down was really nice



Left Boston harbor a bit after 8PM and headed to Maine. Since I was going by I stopped to find Nubble Light in York, Maine. The back roads I used are not the recommended way. The wind was blowing hard and got a couple of nice pictures in the dark.

Great shots Brad. I really like the first light house shot but there all great.
