Mac-heads! The STP09 Dashboard Widget is here!
The 2009 version of the countdown widget for you Mac dashboards is finally here!
The clock is set to countdown to 6am, the morning of July 25th. If you click on the rock in the lowest right corner, the widget will flip over and allow you to enter your hiker name. Doing so will activate the STP icon on the front as a quick link directly to your fundraising page.
To install: download the zip file in the link below. Unzip and double click the widget icon. Its just that easy!
Any comments, questions, suggestions and whatever else you may have, feel free to post it here. If I build any updates to the widget, info and links will be posted here.
Enjoy!

Looks good, and seems to work fine, already installed... :-)
Thanks.

Cool!
I just installed mine. How do I get rid of last years?

Click on the Dashboard icon, then click on the + in the lower left corner of your screen, then click Manage Widgets - look for STP08 in the list, and click the - next to it. You will be asked if you want to move it to the trash.

You beat me to it again this year Erich. I've abandoned the Yahoo Widgets version this year and am working on an Adobe AIR version which should run on anything (PC, MAC, Linux) but I've been having trouble finding time to work on it. Hopefully this one will be a "deluxe" version with pledge list display from the XML feed and other goodies. Your new one looks great. Gives me something to aspire to...

Yeah.. I know why you mean about having time. When I built the first update to this the countdown said 225 days!
An AIR version would be nice to see. Just tell Jim that I said it's too complicated for AIR... that'll get him to jump on it.
If I can figure it out, I might update this one to pull in your current total from the RSS feed and display it on the front.
