"Ice Out" is normally around the 20th of April.

    Default Spring

"Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a boot full of slush"

Anybody have a picture that would go with this quote by Doug Larson

    Mike,

Does a picture of folks out dodging the slush and snow piles wearing shorts count? I am sure I could easily go out together and snag some of those! It is up to at least 40.

    Yes, that would seem appropriate.

We have 24 little lettuce plants growing on the windowsill and Gardener's Supply delivered Tim's new cold frame today. Tim shoveled out the garden (snow) about a week ago and it's ready to be turned over. We still have a foot of snow in the yard, but who cares as long as the lettuce and other early stuff can get into the ground!?

    COME ON SPRING!!!!

I'll send pics as soon as the cold frame is up!

We definitely need pictures of these plants with the snow around them.

Beautiful! The much-golder-than-they-have-been-all-winter finches have been attacking the thistle feeder for the last couple of weeks here (but of course take off as soon as I go to get the camera). Must take a lot of extra energy to change color . How's the lettuce coming?

A week ago there were green shoots coming up everywhere. Now everything is starting to bloom!
