I was out playing with the camera today so I snapped these from my front yard.

    Chris, very nice flowers.

We hit the waterski school in NC - my son skied and i took pictures. A bright day on the water.

Default Does anyone know what this is?

We took pictures of this both in Ashland on Hicks Hill and also on West Rattlesnake in Holderness today. Its stem is very woody. Leaves remind me of mountain laurel, but the whole plant is only 5 inches high.

Sorry it's a bit overexposed. Definitely pink/purple tints on the more mature flowers.

    Any help would be appreciated.

p.s. Yes, those brown leaves are attached to the same plant as the flowers.

Nothing like rain and warm days to bring out the spring flowers! The Rhododendrons and Azaleas are now all in bloom.

Beautiful photos, everyone! Love the colors of the violets and the rhodies. I believe the plant in Tim&Val's picture is a trailing arbutus, but I wouldn't swear to it (and that doesn't mean I never swear...)

Great pics all. I would take some more shots of Spring but it's practically over here in Florida. 90 degrees most days now.

I am out raking the grass to be ready for the first mowing - in a few weeks.

My grass is in full growth mode. It went from freshly cut to seed in less than a week. I had to mow with the deck fully raised just to keep the mower from jamming up. I'll probably need to mow again on Wednesday. The lawn looks great, but man it's lots of work.
