Yes, good thing everyone was okay. That person on the top of it could have easily experienced a "negative outcome."
It looked like there were three people on the right as the avalanche came down, and only two got out of the way. I guess that third shape wasn't a person after all? I never saw it resurface, and I'm supposing we would have heard about it if someone had gotten injured...

No, I don't believe the lost hiker was anywhere near there. Also, hundreds witnessed that slide and were not concerned about that unidentified object that did not move out of the way. Which I don't believe was a person.
Brad also posted another link to a video of a smaller slide in the ravine the same day.
