    Chris,

Those are really nice. I did not know you had a 400mm lens. Does it have IS also? Is the footbridge at the northern end of route 113 at Evans Notch? Are the falls right near there too?

Wow Chris! The sky in pics #1 and 3 is just incredible!

When we drove up to the summit on Saturday, there were skiers parked near the top who were skiing on the snowfield in pic #2, I think. You really need to know how to stop yourself if you're going to ski on a snowfield with giant rocks at the bottom. LOL.

I'm guessing that the suspension bridge is at Lincoln Woods, and the waterfalls are Franconia Falls, is that right?

    Thanks everybody for the compliments.
Yes Brad I have a 100-400 L with IS I got from my inlaws for my birthday and I love it. My next one I want is a 800mm but that is going to take some saving and convincing my wife why I need/want it. As for the foot bridge it is in one of the parking areas on the Kang. and the falls are in another parking area just before also on the Kang. Not to far from rte 16 sorry I don't know all the names of the parking areas yet. It was a great time at the falls till a camper full of people from Canada came and their son (about 10yrs old)came over to where my daughter and I was and stood on a rock peeing. Oh was I mad even my daughter turned away (shes 9) and said what a jerk.

Really nice pics Chris. From your description I'd say that the falls are Lower Falls on the Swift River. Great swimming spot in the summer. What time was your cloud pic? Very well could have been the same one forming.

In that case it was very likely the same one as it was in its final stages of breaking up. It was in clear skies when I took the first shot at 12:53. Last one I took as the lenticular was breaking up was at 1:00 and by 1:20 the clouds had moved in like in your shot. So this now even more eerie. Three of us took pictures of the same cloud (or UFO as the case may be). Clearly by this time they were in a hurry to get out of there...
