Default CoCoRaHS coming to New Hampshire

In July, New Hampshire will join the national network of community volunteers who collect and map precipitation data for the benefit of climate research and many other uses of this data. The network is called the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network or "CoCoRaHS" for short.

If you would be interested in helping out, all you need is a few minutes each morning, an internet connection, and an official rain gauge.

What happens if you're not at home every morning?

That's the main reason why co-op observers are all 80 years old.

There is a multi-day accumulation data entry form on your station page for when you cannot enter data every morning. Such as if you will be out of town for a few days, etc.

I have found it to work for me. My biggest problem is that sometimes I just forget. Mostly when I'm busy or it hasn't rained for a while.
