They do happen fast and you have to be ready and lined up before the action starts - and then it is over.
Last night I went to Moose Pond (west of Bridgton, Maine and east of Fryeburg) to take pictures of the moon rising from the causeway. As things changed I was able to pack up and drive along the causeway to line up for the next shot.
This is one of the last pictures I took (and it is the one picture I was hoping to get). The moon glow is reflecting off the lake by the small island out in the pond.
