Mt. Wash is not really known for its hail. In the summer, thunderstorms are usually disrupted by the mountain, and strong winds and large hail don't usually accompany thunderstorms. I've seen hail up there a few times, but never bigger than pea size.

Contrary to what you would think eh! I guess the one exception with thunderstorm winds was in 2004, when I remember reading that they hit 122 in one gust in a t-storm!

Speaking of t-storms, how's NM's drought coming? The GOES IR channel has shown a steady stream of moist advection off Baja over NM for the last 5 weeks or so. Are you getting caught up to annual average precip, finally, or still running way behind? Mt Wash is about to get some of the Baja and Gulf moisture when the next MCS shoves a stationary front north from Laconia-Pellston, where it's been languishing all morning.
