They are born in mid May to early June and they stay with mama through their first winter and into the next spring, and then mama usually pushes them off, but not always.

Well...since you asked... his name is Kezossa, which means "fast" in Abanaki. Each time I see him he's running and sprinting in circles while mama watches, and once I saw her jog around with him a bit. He's hard to photograph because he won't stay still for long.
