Everyone,
I wish you the best of luck on your hike next Saturday! If the observers don't provide an accurate forecast (and hopefully one for good weather), I will make sure that they receive coal in their stockings next year!
In the unlikely event that they do provide an accurate forecast, I'll have to come up with an appropriate reward...

Marty doesn't give forecasts...at least for the weather. He may forecast other things though, like when he is going to get table scraps next.

My best wishes to everyone too! For a safe and enjoyable hike! Wish we could join you, but we'll be comin' up anyway on Aug 1. I hope to get a chance to keep an eye on the webcam. Last year I got to see Emma stroll out onto the deck before Kevin and Judy came into frame.

The Deck camera takes its pictures right on the quarter hour. So, set you watches before heading out. I will check the archive process the night before and make sure it is running then and hope it stays stable for STP Day.
It sure would be nice if someone would set the Deck camera to save its images every minute between 10AM and 3PM. Then we could have a video of the day with all of us in it. All we would have to do is stand in sight of the camera for at least a minute and we are set. We could get all 403 hikers that way.
