There was a rescue on Mt Adams last week - Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. one of the better articles on it is at

This highlights the need to be prepared and be careful of the weather - it can change fast.

I have done rescues with R.M.C. search and rescue and they are top notch. My hats off to those guys and gals for another job well done!!!!!!!! These are true heroes risking their own lives to save someone they have not even met.

2 fellows from RMC were key in the rescue. And there was a small team from NH Fish & Game. The label I saw was AVSAR. What does that stand for?

Funny as I always think of Androscoggin Valley as Maine.

Doesn't look to me like the wind speed was as high as they claim it was. You don't stroll along on Washington in 80-90mph winds.

Doesn't mean the winds weren't stronger between shots.

At 80-90 mph I would not be trying to take pictures. I would be hanging on.
