The attached photo is of a place that is unofficially named as ?The Captain?. It?s a topographic feature in the White Mountains that is rarely photographed since it can be seen from only a few places, and then only from a distance. It?s tucked away in a ravine between Mt. Carrigain to its north and the Hancocks to its south. To get this photo, I bushwhacked to ledge on the north wall of the ravine.
This cliff has no official name, but some say that it is unofficially known as ?The Captain? because of its resemblance to El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.

And regarding spot number 3, I did not have time on that particular day to go onward and try to find that spot. But, I am certain that I will go back to that area again!! Hey, perhaps you will even beat me to it!!
