    Default Moose on the Kang.

My wife and I were up North for a couple days this weekend and came across three Moose on the Kang. Two were behind the trees and one was a little closer. There was a few people going into the woods and getting pretty close to this guy which I thought was crazy. But hey they made him come into the open where I could shoot him.

Here he was looking at the other two behind the trees that I really could not get a good shot of.

He was getting a little bothered by a handful of people that were sneaking up on him in the woods (crazy)

Wow, some of those are really close, I'd be nervous. How far from them were you? Great shots though!!

They don't look at friendly as Particks moose though.....

Where on the Kanc did you see them?

Yes, great shots Chris! He looks like a very young male because of the size of his antlers. Wonder how old he could be? I was up there too this weekend, but didn't see any moose. Thanks for sharing the photos!!!

I was not that close I would say about 100 feet. I used a telephoto lens to get in on him. I think they were about 8 miles from Loon can't be sure exactly thou.

Nice shots, very nicely done. I saw my first moose on the Kang earlier this year. In the middle of the road, of course. It's odd I had not seen a moose, ever, depsite all my outdoor activities. Heard moose, yes (and went the other way), seen moose...no.

It is also tradition for us to yell "MOOSE" as we come into town (N Conway) and pass the Muddy Moose. I guess that will have to suffice as a moose sighting

BTW what mm lens are you using?

Have you ever tried the chili at the Muddy Moose? I love it. I was using a Canon 100-400mm lens on m 5D Mark II.
