Winter is almost here

On my way to work Friday morning I snapped a couple of quick sunrise pictures over the Taunton River near our home in Dighton,MA.

The river definitely had that cold look of Winter:

About 20 minutes after I took these pictures it was downpouring:

Maybe shortly it will really look like Winter up in The Whites and Gary and I will be able to enjoy our favorite Winter activity......SKIING!!!! See you on the slopes:

Hmmm, I cut the grass again (here in Maine on Nov 21st!!!!!) and then blew all the acorns out of the grass. I should have been making tracks in the snow.

Anna, nice pictures. It sounds like we are all waiting for the snow, but are still cutting our grass. Wacky weather isn't it. And Charlie is still wearing shorts down here in PA. I'm going to have to work some of my magic. I did make it snow in Southtown in the past.

I think you need to get out a fire extinguisher Bob and frost this bad boy for good. Maybe if we all get together and THINK SNOW we can get something going here for a white Thanksgiving.

And we've stopped cutting the grass.We're hoping the leaves will stunt it's growth.

Charlie, you are so right! That darn brother of mine is such a hot head. What does he mean when he says he never wants to see a day that's under 60 degrees. It's he crazy or what?

Anna, I'm with you regarding the fire extinguisher idea. At this rate, we won't even see a white Christmas.
