I saw that on NECN today. Quite the sight. Reporter just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Looks like they put the cammy up on a tripod too which was probably a pretty smart thing.

That rockslide is impressive but small compared with the one that shut down I-40 near the TN-NC line a couple of weeks ago. They are saying it will not be clear for THREE MONTHS, and this is a major, major highway. The slide occurred in the Pigeon River Gorge, famous for rockslides. It affects my trips to the TN side of the Smokies.

Pretty amazing. It's kind of surreal watching the trees sliding across the road still standing up!
