This seems like it could be a wild storm coming in over Maine and New Hampshire. Don't think I would want to summit the next couple of days. All those on top of the rock pile it looks like the winter weather you were looking for is arriving. Good luck and be careful when heading for that precip can. Also can't imagine deicing in these incoming conditions. To all those on top "be safe".

I think I can safely speak for all of us currently on the summit - we're looking forward to it! (Except for Ryan, who has to go out in it...) :-)

He's careful, and knows the windspeed at which he will "blow away" - he won't go out in the open once it reaches that speed - not to worry... :-)

We're holed up in western Vermont hoping for the worst. Temps falling, winds picking up and snowfall increasing.

120mph was my limit for retrieving the snow can.

Picked up about 3" of very dry snow since 5pm. Down to !5F and the temperature is still falling. I'm not sure what the NWS was thinking, but I don't think they were counting on the densities being so low.

9" as of 8am and still snowing. Winds haven't been an issue at all, put the pressure is starting to rise and maybe the winds will follow.

13" as of 4pm, and still snowing in Whiting, VT. Drive north a bit and you get into the good stuff. Burlington had 33" as of 3pm (still snowing at 7:30) for their biggest snowstorm on record and what I assume is their greatest 24 hour snowfall as well.

i just moved my daughter home to PA from Burlington a week ago ,she does not like snow
