A day trip up north...

School has been VERY busy since new years...and I've not been out and about much. I finally had a weekend free, and despite a mild cold, I was determined to get up north...

Shot in Plymouth, Franconia, Sugar Hill and Meredith on a two day round trip...here's some shots...

Ice at Livermore Falls...
With the lack of snow, and the rise and fall of the river recently, the ice formations were artistic and numerous!


Sunset at Coffin Pond
This great view is only available in winter, or from a boat, but is roadside in Franconia/Sugar Hill. Twenty second exposure to crank the saturation!


Alpenglow on Mount Washington...
A classic vantage from Sugar Hill, NH after the sun was down...the clouds lit up intensely!


Ice Fishing on the Lake
Stopped by Meredith on the way home and found some need compositions in the glasslike ice. Strange to see it un-snow-covered?!


I'll be getting out a bit more in the coming weeks...can only hope for as much light and luck!

Amazing stuff as always Jim. I've got to find a way to get up to Sugar Hill. Looks like there are amazing views to be found there in every season!

Beautiful images, as usual! Nice to see nice fresh stuff. I could spot your work from a mile, which is cool.

The scenics are eye candy, but that image of the ice chandeliers is awesome! Very hard to find, compose and capture like that.
