Whoa!!! Kevin, these are just stunning! The colors and the textures ane amazing! Are you using a new lens or has anything changed for you since last spring? Excellent work.

Hey John, nice pic of the spring beauty as well. Awesome image!

I'm going to check out that TR right now

I finally found some nice trailling arbutus with some pink still in the blossom.

    Default Beautiful!

Beautiful pictures, all! Thank you again for the praise!

Patrick, that is high praise coming from you! Beautiful Mayflower picture! I have yet to find it with any pink left in it.

Yes, some things have changed. Whereas I usually take "snapshots" as I scurry along the trail trying to drag my sorry a__ from one height to another, this year I have spent time specifically seeking out these flowers and using a tripod, my D80 and a Tamron 90mm macro lens to actually take time to make a "photograph". Of course, many of these expeditions were with another well-known photographer from this forum who is beginning to rub off on me.

Also, John, absolutely lovely photos, thanks for sharing them!

We were out in San Diego last weekend. Spring is in full swing out there. We took the train up to the Mission at San Juan Capistrano. I had some fun with Photoshop on the second pic.

    Default Garden variety flowers

We haven't done any real hiking yet this year so I can't contribute any wildflower pictures but here are some of my favorite flower shots from this Spring.

I'll call this one Daisy Delight:

A couple of Pansies showing their happy faces in the sunlight:

This tulip is glad to see some sunshine instead of rain for a change:

    Tulip macro:

    Inner beauty:

I cheated on this one and took this shot at our office:

    Daffodil macro:

Hope these bring some warmth to the wet dreary days we've been having lately.

I never want to see a day
    That's over forty degrees
    I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!
