    Smile On Butterfly Wings

Another sure sign of Spring are when the butterflies appear.

I have to admit that I cheated here.We went to The Magic Wings Conservatory in So.Deerfield,MA.That's were these photos were all taken. If some of our knowledgable forum members could identify these little guys it would be wonderful.

    Is this a longwing?

    Or is this?

This is an Owl's Eye or Caligo Butterfly-I think.

These two look like one huge one!Mirror images of each other.

    Zebra butterfly:

Anyone know what kind this is?He's kind of scary looking to me.But that beautiful blue color makes him attactive to all the other butterflies I'm sure.

    And this colorful little fellow?

OK so this isn't a butterfly;but this very colorful and cuddly little finch lives at the Conservatory too and he was too cute not to include here.

May these brighten up everyones week.Have a good one.Especially if you're on vacation!!

Anna, those are beautiful, so colorful and I love the bird!!! My sister and I have thought about stopping in to see the butterfly Conservatory, looks like it would be worth it.

Deerfield is nice, we always stop at the Yankee Candle Villiage on our way to or from NH. Love that store!!!

Thank you Kathy,Chris and Bob.The toughest part about getting these pictures was waiting for the little fellows to land.

Kathy if you know where Yankee Candle is The Coservatory is three miles up the street from there on the same side.Well worth the money.
