Finally finished editing my pics from the trip! Uploaded several sets to Flickr (and they are on my Facebook if you are linked in over there.)
Upon arriving Wednesday morning, we checked into the Highland Center for the night, grabbed our packs and headed up Crawford Path to Mount Pierce. Once we got to the summit, thunderstorms could be heard in the distance, so we made quick work of getting back down. Made it to about 10 min from the Highland Center before the mountain spirits couldn't hold off the storms any longer for us.

On the drive up, Graham found a nice short, low impact hike that sounded interesting. So Thursday we headed over the state line into Maine to tackle Blueberry Mountain. One the way there, we stopped to check out the cool suspension bridge and spend some time playing in the water.

With the weather looking iffy for Saturday's big hike, the Talbots talked Graham and me into hiking with them on Friday. Having to turn back last year, I was really hoping for a summit this year. The window looked great for weather on Friday, so we got our packs ready and headed out the next morning. We were rewarded with near perfect weather, little traffic on the trails and long views.
