Default Summit "Pets" of the past

I'd seen a postcard of "Leon" the summit mascot from around 1900 or so. I've also see what looks like the same dog in stereoviews.

Wondering if anyone has more info?

More recently it seems there have been cats for quite some time.

All of these cats are beautiful...it must make life on the summit so much easier to have these little fellows around.

Seems like our boy Marty is really good at pullups!
He has to keep in shape before the Winter doldrums come around and he doesn't get his outside exercise.
