After reading the Observer Comments this morning, it reminded me of the man that gave the Mt. Wash forecast on TV years ago. I think it might have been channel 8? The family would gather around and wait for him to give that big smile of his when he was finished! We got the biggest kick out of that! Do you remember?

I never watched Marty Engstrom, but he was a New England icon for many years. People still ask about him all the time.

That's great. I can remember being at my grandparents house in Lincoln NH 30 years ago when on a good day you could get 3 channels. I could never wait to see Marty's report.
