2010 - Quite a Year

Just wanted to say thanks to you all for sharing your adventures, your knowledge, your photos, and your trip reports. It has been quite a year. We all have had fun with the Observatory's Annual Meeting, Seek the Peak hike and dinner, hikes all over the place, members getting together to hike and eat, photo sharing like I have never seen before, and of course our contests. Yes, it has been quite a year.

We have been challenged to become Observatory members or to move up a level. And we have heard about fantastic special Observatory events.

Loads of fun and a wonderful opportunity to get to meet you all. Thanks.

2011 holds a lot of promise. We are hearing about wonderful plans for re-doing the summit museum and ways to expand the Observatory's research activities. Yes, the long running partnership with LL Bean is coming to a close. But, the word is on the street that we will be hearing about the new partner in January.

The past was fun. The new year looks to be exciting.

It really has been a great year!!! I have had the good fortune to meet and hike with so many new friends through the Obs. It's a fantastic organization to belong to and be a part of. May 2011 be an even better year than 2010 for all of us.

I agree it's been a great year, new friends, new places, new experiences and lots of lessons in photography. I'm happy to say I too know what the "Dirt" comment means. I had lots of fun meeting and spending time with all of you ~ Erich, Chris, Brad and Charlie (even the ones who don't wear kilts).
