If you would like to read about some of the other non-death incidents in the ravines, you can go here http://www.mountwashingtonavalanchecenter.org/ and click 'search and rescue/incidents' in the upper right.
Some of the stories make me scratch my head as to what people were thinking, others are a good lesson on what not to do when doing recreational things in the ravines.
