Meeting of MWO members & Forum Folk - NJ

Let's see if there is a date in February where we could have an informal get together in NJ. Could we do Saturday, February 19th at 1:00 PM somewhere convenient? Is this date okay? Are folks interested? Who would be able to come?

Sounds good. What does everybody think of Spring Valley Ny. It is right on the Jersey Border off of the Garden State Parkway, NY Thruway and Interstate 287. May be doable for folks in western Mass, upstate NY and even North East Penn as well as New Jersey and New England

2. Can the Philly folks make it to this location? Or do we need to be further south in NJ?

I'm in too!! That Saturday is open for me. Kathy, do you have any suggestions for places we can meet in the Spring Valley area or nearby?

There is a red lobster in nanuet that used to be good. (I used to have cousins that lived in Monsey and we used to go there.) Been a while though so I hope it is still good. Unless someone knows of a better place. A good Deli that could handle a big group would be cool.

I really never go up that way other then to drive 287 to get north. I am doing a search, if the weather isn't too bad here on Saturday, me and my taller half will venture up that way with a list of places to check out. I don't see too much in Spring Valley itself, it's a small town, but Nanuet and Nyack are right next door that seem to have more options. I did find an Irish pub we will probably check out, I Like Irish Pubs...

A co-worker of mine suggested two places, but both are closed, one for renevations and one for the season....
But he said that he will bring a book in with local places.

Thanks for doing the research Kathy! An Irish Pub or Red Lobster is just fine with me. I love all types of food, so I'm open to any place. Well, maybe not Burger King.

I was just talking to the manager Mike from the EMS in Nanuet. First he said that they would love to send a rep to our get together if we can give him a date and time. Also we talked about places. He said the Red lobster is good and also there is a place called the nanuet restaurant on middletown rd. He also was talking about Dave and Busters, I have seen ads but have never been but it looked cool especially if kids will be coming. What does everyone think?

Dave and Busters sounds good to me. We have one here in Philly, but have never checked it out. People do rave about it though.
