    Default Default Thread Subscription Mode

I have a question about this mode, and not sure if anyone knows the answer? I have mode set to receive email notifications instantly if I create a thread or reply to one. One thing I've noticed though, and I may be wrong about this, is that I will only get one email notification for a reply a person leaves after I reply. Then no notifications for replies as they are posted.

If I start a thread, or reply to one thus being subscribed, it would be nice to receive notifications for every reply after that. Does anyone else use this? Does the capability exist to set this up if it isn't set up already? Thanks!

    Bob,

I believe what you're describing is the fact that you will not receive another notification about additional replies to a thread, until/unless you respond to the first email notification (and each additional notification). It seems like the simplest way to do this is to click on the link in the email notification. There is more information about this in the email notification itself.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Ed!!! I will give that a try. From what you describe, that sounds like a solution.

Ed, I tried the method you suggested, and unfortunately when I click on the link within the email, it brings me to the home page and I have to log-in. I use this way to mainly keep up with posts on my smartphone when I'm out and about. Hmm, maybe it will work if I stay logged in on my phone? Will have to give that a try.

I assume that you are clicking on the link that is prefaced by "This thread is located at:?"

This link works for me, and does not require that I sign in (nor am I signed in when I click these links) - this is on my iPhone and on my computer.

What sort of phone do you have?

Ed, I'm using a Palm Pre Plus. It worked fine just now with the notification sent from your reply. Probably because I'm logged on to the forums on the phone.

That's true. I will have to experiment with this a little more. Thanks a lot for your help!
