    Default Mt Washington next weekend

    Hi all
I am going to attempt washington next weekend and was looking for some advice. First off i will arrive around 3 on friday and would like to hike about a mile in and camp. Are there places this is aloud? I went up tuckerman ravine in Dec. but was told there is also a winter route that would open, will i have to use that route now. Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks

hermit lake shelter is about 2-3 miles in

You can hike mt Washington in a day no problem, just get an early start so you'll have plenty of daylight. And of course remember while the Lion's head winter route has less avalanche danger than the ravines it still does have risk.. some good reading is on this site
