STP Trails

This year I plan on hiking up the Jewel Trail and coming down the Tuck's Trail. Plan on starting at 5am. Anyone interested in this we should get together and set up the cars for the ride back to the Trail head.

we did the Jewel last year but it was cloudy so i would love to do it this year but we get a ride down . we hike slow so if your a fast hiker the we are not the ones to hike with .
i will be up there on thursday si if the weather is better on fri then sat i hope to hike it on fri

We're still not sure which trails we will take this year. Maybe Huntington up and Tucks down? Last year it was the Jewell up and Lion's Head down. That was a nice route. And like Charlie said, it was cloudy the whole time up, but coming off the summit cone on the east side, we hiked out of the clouds and into the sunshine.

I think it's now official, we'll be going up Tuck and down either Tuck or Lion's Head. I've got 2 newbies with me this year and want to give them a memory that will bring them back...now all we need is sunshine!

Heading up to the mountain in two week for the Climb to the Clouds race and to stop in the Obs to say Hi plus drop off some goodies.
